Dr. Diana Macian is board certified in Emergency Medicine and has treated a wide range of medical issues, from a bad cough to cardiac arrest and stroke. Before joining WellcomeMD, Dr. Macian worked in the Emergency Department at Naples Community Hospital on the frontline throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Although she enjoyed her time focused on emergency medicine, she realized that the fast pace, short appointment slots, and administrative burdens did not allow her the time needed to build strong patient-physician relationships.
WellcomeMD offers a concierge medicine model that allows patients to get their needs heard, get to the root cause of an issue and also allows the patient to have “shared decision-making”. Dr. Macian believes that if at a younger age we take care of mind, body and spirit, we can have a more productive life later on.
